Does anyone know if you can install new Pergo over existing Pergo? I have installed Pergo or similar type products, in many rooms of my home. Some have been directly on a new wood subfloor, some over existing ceramic tile. Have never had any issues–this would be my first attempt at putting it over an existing Pergo floor.

Tile floors can be installed with a radiant floor heating system such as this one
It is imbedded in the floor below the tiles and is controllable with a wall mounted thermostat. Unless there is significant structural damage to the floor, there is no risk based on dampness. These are routinely used in bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms.
I agree with keshlam. All you need to do is screw it down. On a normal tile install you seal the the subfloor and screw down the backer-board so this would be no different, the linoleum is just sandwiched between the sub and the hardy. The only down fall is you cant really seal it.

I was always told not to install a floating floor over a floating floor.However I have done this several times in my house without any problems.One concern would be if both floorings have a sponge backing,the floor might feel excessively spongy.In hindsight I wouldn't have done this because I had to re-undercut the doorways and raise all of the base.
