You should consider doing something mosaic-y there because the size difference will always prevent you from putting in a milled transition piece.
If you try to install something that looks perfect, it will always look imperfect. But if you go with something that is intentionally imperfect, it will look intentional.

The break in grain and the prominent joint is something I notice right off, but it is also something completely normal in natural wood flooring.
My experience is that the monotony of a pattern can be hidden during installation by taking care to arrange the units in an order which does not repeat closely. If you won't be doing the installation yourself, perhaps you are up to laying out like half the units in a desirable arrangement for the installer to use as is. (They will appreciate not having to carry and open the packages.)

If you did the flooring & have excess pieces you can cut the flooring to fit in there. If not, then really anything of the same thickness will do with a staining polyurethane combo. If you want an actual & obvious transition because it's a doorway separation sort of thing, then a Door Threshold might be the best option.
