I bought a 6 way with switches and a 4 way gang extension leads.
I bought them online and I found them being closed by these screws with a flat round disk as a head.
Now understanding the meaning of "security screws", it seems to me that this time they really got it right!
The questions are:
– Are these screws or clips or something else?
– Is there any way to open this extension lead other then using a sledgehammer?

I'd drill the existing screw head off, use a bit slightly larger than the shaft of the screw but smaller than the hole in the knob. The stripped out screw should keep the bit fairly centered even when used at a slight angle. Once each head is removed you can pull the knob and try a screw extractor on what's left, but there's a good chance you'll need to replace the entire lockset at this point.
Based on the comment thread, your screws are not damaged excessively. This means you can take the good screws to a local hardware store and ask for a matching tap to clean or re-tap the threads in the door. The hardware store person should find a nut to fit the screw, identifying the thread as metric or SAE and then match the tap tool accordingly.
For a one-off task such as this, you can get away without a tap handle. Use an adjustable wrench set to match the flats on the tap, place the tap in the hole and attempt to start the cutting threads to match the probably-damaged threads in the dryer wall. Because the threads were there previously, you won't have to use the forward half-turn, backwards quarter-turn practice used for tapping a drilled hole. A bit of lubricant would be useful, a light oil or even motor oil. The image below is an arbitrary selection from Amazon.
Once the tap spins with minimal effort, back it out and your screws will fit again.

Those could be screws with the heads removed, specifically to prevent people from opening the device. In that case, try to cut a slash across the top of the screw so that you can get a flat-head screwdriver in there. A dremel comes to mind, although you'll damage the plastic casing, but, hey, if you want to make an omelette...
Just as likely though, they are like ring-shank nails, with notches on them designed to catch on the plastic inserts on the other side and ensure that they never, ever get removed without destroying the device. In this case, the answer may be to drill the head off of them so that the shank can be pulled through the hole in the plastic. Understanding, of course, that you won't be able to put them back together.
Why do you want to take it apart, incidentally?
