Why do you think the bathtub is not currently vented?
Not all traps need to be individually vented so you're not always going to see a vent if you don't know what to look for. It's a little hard to tell from your photos, but I think your bathtub is wet vented through the kitchen sink:

Looks good. You want the p trap where you have it, not back by the vent.

Depends on the jurisdiction. In most places 8 feet is too far from trap to vent. Better would be to route vent and waste lines from the trap separately. You can use turns and what not as needed in those lines as long as slope is maintained.
