The faucet in our kitchen is running cold from both hot and cold valves. The faucet is double handle.
The hot and cold water in the other areas of the house are running normally both hot and cold . We can't figure it out…..it occured seemingly overnight.

If you have flexible piping running to the bottom of the faucet:
- turn off both the hot & cold the water supplies
- disconnect the piping from the faucet
- aim the hot water pipe into a bucket and turn the hot water back on (quickly turn it off, of course)
- repeat for the cold water side
If you're getting water in the bucket, the faucet's the problem. If it's the faucet, you can start working to disassemble it to see where the problem is or simply replace it.
Since the pressure drops for both hot and cold at this fixture, the problem is inside the fixture as you've already guessed. The first place to look is any aerator or filter screen on the fixture, debris gathering there will quickly slow the entire flow. Looking at the diagrams for your faucet, I believe that will be part P (the flow straightener) in this picture (Q appears to be a tool for opening the end of the spray assembly).
You can also verify the pressure from before the fixture is strong by disconnecting the hot and cold supply and running them into a bucket or drain to check the pressure coming from after the shutoff valves.
The problem could also be in the mixing valve and you'd need to remove and inspect the cartridge if it's there. basically anywhere after the two water lines merge could have a blockage.

If you have a dedicated heater for the kitchen, then the obvious conclusion is that it broke. Thanks to @ratchet freak for pointing this out.
I had a similar problem without a dedicated heater where the hot tap in the kitchen was slightly warmer than the cold one. I turned the boiler to a higher setting and now it works fine. I have no idea why the rest of the hot water in the house worked fine.
