I have one cold water source, the pipe looks like this:
I would like to connect two of these pipes this the source:
How do I do this?
The best I could find was something like this. But the connectors are too narrow for the pipe, and the tap needs to be in a Y shape ideally, so that both pipes connect roughly horizontally.
If you dont want to run a new pipe you will need specific insulation
Notice that this insulation has a shiny outside layer. This acts as a reflection for heat, and usually has a black/dark side on the inside.
The foam/glass wool used to wrap the pipe needs not be anything special, but I am sure there are special ones that locks out heat better.. instead of the conventional one that keeps heat in.. is there a difference? I am not sure.
Look at this insulation- They wrap silver around the pipe and then insulate it. You DONT want to do this.. because this keeps the heat INSIDE the pipe, and the insualtion slows down absorption of coldness form the earth
As commented- it has no difference--inside or outside- it will deflect the heat in both cases... This is open to debate though.

I am not in the UK but my city uses the International Plumbing Code.
Everything needs to have the required slope. The required slope depends on the size of the pipe.
IPC table 704.1 shows that a pipe with an ID (interior diameter) of 2.5" or less needs 1/4" per foot. While a pipe that is 3" to 6" only needs 1/8" per foot.

Isn't that a garden hose size fitting? You will find the fixtures you need in the garden department of a lumber store. Many people use a Y-joint to connect two hoses to one bib. These come in plastic or brass; get the brass.
From the picture it appears there is not room to screw on a Y-joint. You may need a gooseneck extension.
If a gooseneck doesn't provide the clearance, or if you can't find one, you may have to make an extension. Buy a male and a female clamp-on hose connector, cut one foot off your garden hose, use one clamp-on to make the extension, and use the other to repair your hose.
The best way to avoid dripping is to make sure the male ends are smooth, without nicks or burrs.
