I replaced a Moen 1200 cartridge with new one. One day later it started to drip when I turn the water off. It’s the exact same cartridge model I pulled out. I made sure before inserting the new one that all parts that I didn’t need to buy were clean and free of any rust, lime or calcium. Does anybody have any ideas?

With the unit again disassembled and cartridge removed, take a 3/4 copper fitting brush and clean out the brass body. This removes stuck debris. Flush out with water from a spray bottle. Clean and dry and re-lubricate.
