I live on the 2nd story. I would like to reduce the vibration caused by the bench grinder. I bought the grinder at least 30 years ago. Everything is original equipment. I have some carpet padding under it, but a lot of vibration is still transmitted to my floor.
Can you suggest some other ideas that will preferably cost the least.

I read this post last night when one of the blowers in my system started vibrating, shaking the entire house. The comments above encouraged me to look into it myself, and I wanted to share what I've found in my case for the benefit of anyone in a similar situation.
In my case, it seems the Installation Instructions were left inside the unit and pages of it got jammed on the blades, causing the imbalance.
After I removed these,
everything went back to normal. The AC is 6 years old, so these instructions must have been there since the installation, probably taped to a side panel internally.
Make sure that your drill chuck is indeed a 1/2"-20 UNF thread. Because threaded drill chucks come in several variants (source):
If it's indeed a 1/2"-20 UNF thread, here are several options, using varying amounts of commercial parts and DIY:
Buy the required adapter. They are rare though, but you can try your luck with one of these:
Combine a male/male adapter and a nut. So, you buy a "M14 male to 1/2"x20 UNF male" and a long (40-50 mm) M14 nut. For the thread adapter, you can try get hold of any of the following:
Weld a 1/2" UNF bolt into a long M14 nut, and cut off the head of the bolt. But that could be difficult to get perfectly straight.
Cut off the M14 bolt from the angle grinder, and weld on a 1/2" UNF bolt instead. This could also be difficult to get perfectly straight when rotating, and "damaging" the angle grinder will not be acceptable in most cases. Except where you have one to spare, or it's just the angle gear from a broken angle grinder that you are building an adapter for your power drill from.
Or use your lathe. If you have one around :) to make the adapter.

Typically the only thing that will cause the vibration on grinder wheels like yours, are the wheels themselves being out of balance. My suggestion would be to get two new wheels (grinding stones).
