I’d like to connect a braided line to it to connect to the fridge. Is there a connector that will do this? I’m trying not to replace the entire line to my basement.

Assuming you're in the US that line should be 1/4". For the braided line you want 1/4" compression x 1/4" compression. It will have a fitting at each end with a rubber washer built in and it will connect directly to the fitting on the fridge. The other end of that line in the photo will have the same fitting.
If you're up for it, I would install a valve in the wall while you have the water shut off. When you're done, you'll have a separate shutoff for the fridge and your bathroom available again. To make it look nice, I'd go for a valve box that you mount in the wall:
Sure, the water is under pressure, it'll get there. As far as static pressure loss, the entrance and exit are all that matter, the in between makes no difference. Friction loss is an issue with long distances, but ice makers and dispensers have very low demand, so unless your house pressure is very low already, it shouldn't be an issue. The only real drawback would be the appearance if you have no convenient ways to disguise the run.
