Can I have 3(2×8) beam/girder with 2×10 joists 12" OC? I'm building a 16×16 ledger mounted deck. Two footings were poured a little higher than they should be. There are four 16" footings of 5,000 psi concrete supporting 6×6 posts.
Use three 2×8 beams instead of two 2x10s for a deck

It looks like 3 2x8 beams allow a longer joist span than 2 2x10s.
