I need help wiring a ceiling fan with a red, black, white, ground in ceiling box to a remote receiver with black and white to a black, white, and blue to fan with black, white, blue, ground.
Single wall switch with black and red connected at the moment.
I cannot get the wall switch to control any part of the fan or light functions. Remote does everything.
From what you've described, this is what I think you're wiring should look like. Keep in mind, this is just a guess. I can't see what's going on, and I'm an internet away, so I can't touch/measure/test anything.

If you provide images, and/or a better description of what wires and cables are in each box. I'll be able to provide a better guess, as to how this should be wired.

In some installations, there will be two switches for a fan - one for the fan and another for the light. The ceiling fan would have four wires (blue is common color for the 4th wire), and they are normally labeled Light, Fan, Common, and Ground. One wall switch will control the black wire, and the second switch will control red.
Your new fan either doesn't have lights, or the lights can't be controlled by a switch independently from the fan. The documentation should tell you what each wire is for, but your assumption should be correct - black to black (assuming your switch controls the black wire - check it), white to white, and green to ground. The red wire should simply be capped off by itself in the junction box.

Connect the remote receiver to the fan wiring: black to black, blue to blue, white to white.
Connect the supply wires to the remote receiver: black to black, white to white.
Connect the grounds together: green (supply) to green (fan), along with a pigtail to the junction box if it's metal.
Cap off the red wire in the ceiling.
Remove the red wire from the switch and cap it off.
If you wanted the switch to control the fan or lights directly, connect the supply black to the black (fan) or blue (lights) from the fan, not the remote receiver. Cap off the corresponding wire from the remote receiver. Given that you only have 1 switch on the wall, though, it's probably best to control everything via the remote. Also keep in mind that if you connect the fan this way, you lose the ability to adjust the speed.
