I once heard a friend say a word to a friend who had just had a new born baby. As I looked it up in the dictionary, I found its meaning equals "well done, nice job or praise someone for their nicely done job", but it's a formal word, like Congratulations, or my Condolences.
Unfortunately, now I've forgotten the word, I hope that someone here might help me, thanks in advance!
To me new seems to work best because its saying a new formulation (forming) is derived (obtained) for the phenomenon (existance) of X. so if they create something to obtain the existance it implize that it's new and purposly made for X. So if this wasn't new why would they create it to obtain it why don't they just buy it
If you want a term to describe all of a prince's clothing, I would use finery.

But if you're looking for the 'dress' part of a fairytale prince's clothes, I think it would be tunic.

It fits your description.
