I already know that PR can mean Public Relations or Puerto Rico, but none of these definition works in my context. I was on github, and an author basically said :

In this context, what does PR stand for ?
Skill, as you mentioned is too short to be abbreviated and no abbreviations will make sense for the word. However, I've seen in many places, where an image that represents skills is used to convey the same meaning.
A contrast is a comparison, the sharp one. I don't know an abbreviation for "in contrast to" but "compare (imperative)" is usually abbreviated to cf. [Latin confer (compare)].

I would guess PR stands for "Pull Request" (you can see a tab for pull requests at the top of the page). That is, he'd like other people to try and contribute to his project.
