I am going to take the TOEFL in 3 weeks, so I am working hard on studying the "Series Of Selected Words". I happened to encounter two words, amicable and amiable:

Amicable

Then I took a look at:

Amiable

I am now ruminating on these two words, but I am still confused.

Could someone help me understand when or under which circumstances should I use amicable or amiable?
