OpenZeppelin – Resolving Import Problems

I am trying to import a couple of OpenZeppelin contracts to my project, but each time I am given an error related to unsuccessful imports from sources. I'm gonna attach a screenshot of my code. I have to mention that I am using Macos and I have installed NPM package of OpenZeppelin via terminal, although it's not visible in my node_modules folder. Could anyone help me with a proper way of importing OpenZeppeli contracts on Remix?

You have two options to importing OpenZeppelin contracts in Remix IDE:

Copy and paste.
Import with github links.

So if you write:

import "https://github.com/OpenZeppelin/openzeppelin-contracts/blob/master/contracts/utils/math/SafeMath.sol";

That should be fine.

Here are the full steps starting from a blank truffle project. You could replace truffle init with truffle unbox <package> if you want to start from a Truffle box.

Create a new directory
truffle init: initialize truffle in the directory
truffle install zeppelin: install open-zeppelin using ETH Package Manager

A new folder will be created called installed_contracts which contains all the files.

You can import the Math.sol library by adding this line in your contract in the contracts folder:

import "installed_contracts/zeppelin/contracts/math/Math.sol";

If you run npm uninstall @openzeppelin/contracts and then npm install @openzeppelin/contracts@2.3.0, then retry the import, then it should work.

Also, check your truffle-config.js file and see if the root directory is configured properly to find your node_modules folder properly.
