In CS:GO, can I work towards achievements like "X kills with weapon Y" during warmup in competitive mode?

Checked my kill count on a weapon I don't use (M249) before I played competitive last night, I managed to get 3 kills with it in warm-up and my achievement count had increased by 3 after the match.

So yes, kills in competitive warm-up do count towards your achievements.

It works the same as experience. It doesn't matter who delivers the killing blow, you just have to be in the vicinity.

How to increase the length of the warmup round

From what I could find in the console you have to use:

MP_warmuptime 60

This would set the warmup time to 60 seconds. The standard is at 25 seconds and the minimum is 5 seconds.

Also as a tip for next time: in the console you can do find "text" and it will find all console commands with that text in it.
