Most of the soldier melee attacks seem to cause about 50% damage to another regular soldier. But other times, I am not so certain, because sometimes soldiers seem go to go down after single hit. On the other hand, perhaps they were wounded.
Can attacking the head or certain locations cause more melee damage?
Do all non-hero melee attacks do 50% damage to other regular soldiers?
Everything in the beta menus are part of the standard edition of the game. That includes the maps, characters, upgrades, game modes, etc.
The future DLCs (included in the season pass and ultimate edition) add new environments. What comes with these environments is a mystery right now. Currently, the Battle of Jakku is the only announced DLC and obviously this will introduce a new map, but it isn't known if this will bring new game modes, characters, or other new features.

The AT-ST has a weak spot on its back, try to target this when attacking one and defend it when piloting.
Shoot those exhaust ports. Always the weak spot in imperial tech. :-) But seriously, anywhere in the back panel (back of the "head") is the "weak spot."

It's 50 per hit unless you hit them in the head.
This happens to me a lot as I am one of those guys that loves to put on the personal shield and go for the uplink. I just tested this to be sure - I had wondered why it always seemed to be a one-hit KO when the recipient was crouched
