When I have enough units of a luxury resource to activate the booster twice, the game allows me to do that. Do I get double the effect of the booster or will one activation go to waste?

Ok so I found some answers on Amplitude forums.
Battlefield and positioning
Yes, you have to engage your opponent on the tile side where you want to locate your army. If you hover your opponent while you keep right click pressed, a preview of the battlefield will appear.
Reinforcements are simply the other armies that are located in the battlefield.
Turns
In a nutshell, it's not implemented yet:
In the final game we plan to offer a game setting that will allow you to control every round if you wish so. It will probably be 3 settings: simple (1 order phase), normal (3 phases), advanced (6 phases). In all these setting we always keep the same number of rounds (6 rounds), not to change the game balance.
Ranged attacks
Same as for turns: it's still a work in progress.
This is Palladian, a new strategic resource that will unlock during the third era, along with Adamantian.
Glassteel and Titanium are not the only strategic resources of the game. During the fourth era, you'll unlock two additional strategic resources: Mithrite and Hyperium.
All these resources will be necessary to build the latest gears you will unlock using research.

You won't get double the effect, but the duration is extended. E.g. if you use a boost and the effect lasts 20 turns, then you immediately use it again, it lasts 40 turns. So, the activation will not go to waste.
This is especially useful, if you have any temporary modifiers to increase the duration of a boost. E.g. in one game I had an effect ( either through tech or a great building), which increased the duration of boosters, depending on how many boosters I have active. This allowed me to get up to 36 turns of boost per activation. So, i could quickly stack up the booster duration to triple digit turns with a low resource cost.
