Gaun's Pledge is a new ability that you'll see as usable on your characters hotbar.
Using Gaun's Pledge restores a small amount of Endurance, and it's usable twice per rest.
It doesn't appear to affect anything but melee damage, after some quick testing on a Cipher at level up with a poleaxe.

It's one of a dozen or so companion pets available in the game. They do nothing other than follow faithfully at your side, looking adorable and/or awesome.
