I recently tried to create a team in dota 2, uploaded all banners and stuff from omij's guide, but I got nothing after a modal came up daying Creating Team with an OK button which I clicked. I'm not able to create a team with the same name again, so I think it got created, but it does not appear in My Teams. How long does it take to create a team?

Create a practice lobby with "Fill empty slots with bots" disabled. On the lobby screen, you can click on the red arrow to the right of any player slot to add a bot player of any difficulty. By adding bots this way, you can even mix and match bots of varying difficulty levels. See the picture below for reference.
I'm not a very experienced player but I just opened up Dota 2 and tried mapping 'Ability Learn' to control and it didn't work.
However, upon a little bit of research and testing to verify if what this site says is true, it seems that what you're asking is hard-coded into the game, and that's why you can't change the key binding for control through the options menu.
So basically: ctrl+(ability key) DOES level up your ability, without needing any changes in your settings.

Creating a team is instantaneous. You should see it in
My Teamsafter, with you as the only member.If you don't, you need to create another team. Any issues you have with duplicates will have to be resolved unless you manage to get Valve to fix it.
