When you visit Ultra-Luxe and meet the White Gloves Society members there is a mission that asks to look for an investigator.
The problem is that as soon as I enter inside its room I am attacked by two guards and die because unarmed. How can I win against them? I tried many times but it seems I do very small damage to them.
Here's the revolver in question:
The Mod button is highlighted in the top right. When you press X the below menu should appear (forgive me for having only one mod, couldn't find another one).
When you click on a mod, it will be attached to a weapon (it will be noted with a "+" next to its name, and the attached mod will be listed in weapon's properties panel:
Make sure you have appropriate mod for a weapon - it's usually obvious from a mod's name which weapon it's for. Also, since you tagged this question as "pc", I assume you're pressing X on keyboard and not on a gamepad.
Your reputation on the Strip must be "accpeted" or higher. Then Marjorie will sponsor you as a member and give you formal wear and a key to the Members-Only section.

When I played through this it took many tries, so first and foremost: save often. If you take one of the guys out, save before you start on the next one.
