I'm a SL11 and managed to invade a guy in undead parish who was wearing full Havel's and carrying Black Knight Sword. I get where he got Havel's from, but how can a 11 +-10% use the black knight sword? I don't get it. Did I invade a way higher level character?

I'm really not so sure what you're talking about either...are you referring to the Dark Knights?
If so, these guys are pretty powerful at the point of the game you're at - they're placed in locations that you can easily avoid, so for the moment you can run past them and come back to fight once you're stronger.
They also don't respawn so you don't need to worry about having to fight them again after you take them down once.
Unfortunately, there's no way of resetting the Crestfallen Warrior (short of starting over) after he's become hostile. See below for a way to actually calm him down. (I forgot all about Oswald!)
However, you are not penalized in any way for killing him/causing him to die. According to the Wikidot:
Be wary about accidentally making him hostile the first time you meet him, as he'll attack you as soon as you respawn at the bonfire.
It goes on to say:
As he doesn't drop any item nor does he have any effect on other NPC's story, you don't need to worry about killing him by kicking him off cliff as his "full reward" is only his souls.
Which is to say, there are no penalties for killing him, and you can snag a quick 1000 souls in the process!

If the Black Knight Sword was wielded in a two-handed fashion, the Strength requirement is lowered to 14. With the Dexterity requirement being 18, it is possible for a Pyromancer to have this equipment set at level 12.
However, if you are the one invading, you can invade players of any level. While the Dark Souls system attempts to match you with players that are around your level, you will eventually work your way up to high-level players if there's no-one else around.
