Ok so rule 1: In a tent every item counts as 1 slot. That means your m4a1 is 1 slot, a tire is 1 slot, a jerrycan is 1 slot, anything
and everything is 1 slot when inside a tent.
Storage is broken down into 3 different categories, each one has it’s
own amount of storage space.
Weapons & Tools(including NV goggles, binoculars, and side arms) – 10 Slots
So as you can see it doesn’t matter how many slots the item would take in
your inventory, it only counts as 1 slot within the tent.
If you attempt to place items into a full tent one of two things can
happen. The item can drop on the floor near the tent or the item could
disappear. So take care when placing items in the tent.
My personal theory on items disappearing after placing in a full tent
is — the items are placed under the tent or perhaps under the ground
if your tent is on a hill.
Tents are items that offer a source of storage players. They do not
save from server to server but on the originating server they were
deployed on. Deployed tents cannot be stolen, however the items inside
can be.
So, tents stay on the server they were pitched on and do not follow you to other servers.
It also says the Save command "properly saves a tent although there still is a chance that a server will eat your tent no matter what."
Each building is triggered individually, and has its own loot-spawn timer.
Loot spawns as soon as a player is closer than 120m but farther than 30m from the building. The building's loot spawn timer also starts then.
Every 10 minutes new loot will spawn if and only if there is a player in the 120–30m ring. A player in that ring will cause loot to spawn on the timer even if there is another player inside the 30m ring. If you're not inside that ring when the timer checks for a player, there will be no new loot.
Each spawn location in a building has a 50% chance to populate whenever spawning is triggered, so emptying loot spots helps.
Backpacks and ammo cases don't count when the code checks if there's already loot in a spot.
Bonus: Zombies spawn when a player enters a 200m circle.
