Click on the golden cross in your character portrait, exactly the cross, not the portrait itself.
You have to talk to Pasca (the innkeeper/bartender) to order drinks for the famers. Took me quite a while to find that one. I was just carrying beer and ale in my inventory and wondering why it wasn't working.

You can find the animancer in the upper part of the same dungeon. She will drop the key on death, though I'm not sure if it can be obtained in other way.
