I know that a player in my squad is indicated in-game with a green name, but I would like to know if my other teammates are also in a squad or are solo.
That would be helpful for team communication and for coordinating attacks.

If you go into the options menu, you'll see the option to toggle teammate health. Note that Zarya also has this option as well; the exact instructions that follow are the same except to pick Zarya from the All Heroes dropdown menu.
As of an older update Blizzard made it able to enable this option across all heroes.
You'll need to go to:
- Options menu from the main menu
- Controls on the top bar of the Options menu
- Select Soldier 76 from the All Heroes dropdown menu
The option is labelled "Allied Health Bars". Toggle On to show.

Considering it’s an online multiplayer game, it’s surprising to see at its launch lacks a dedicated spectator mode. But Blizzard does make it possible to spectate in Overwatch, although it isn’t as convenient as a dedicated spectator mode.
One way to spectate a game is to attempt to join a game a friend is currently playing. If the game is full, you’ll be forced to sit on the sidelines, but as a result, you can spectate your friend as well as all of the other players in the match. If your friend continues with the same group into another match, and there’s no vacancies, you’ll continue to sit in the new game as a spectator.
Another way to spectate a game is by joining a new game yourself which also has all team spots filled. When this happens, you’ll be forced to enter spectator mode, although as soon as a spot frees up, you’ll be thrown into the action. Unfortunately, there’s no way to back out of the game to re-enter spectator mode.

As of today's patch, a visual indicator of whether or not players are in a party are shown in the scoreboard menu:
When the players are in a party, you'll see a link between the party members within the party. In this screenshot, the enemy team has two parties, a party of 2 and a party of 3.
