I just downloaded and installed The Witcher from GOG.com. However, when attempting to launch the game (the game itself, after the launcher) I get the following error:
The program can't start because d3dx9_35.dll is missing from your computer.
The system is Windows 7 64-bit. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue?

Fixed by installing DirectX 9 from Microsoft's website.
