Installing Fore’s New Idles in Skyrim (FNIS) on Linux using Wine/PlayOnLinux

I'm a user of PlayOnLinux/Wine and I need to know how to install FNIS for my Skyrim. I can run GenerateFNISForUsers.exe using POL but there are no patches available. What do I do?

I don't know if I'll survive without the Alive Peeing mod, haha.

As of Wine 1.8, I don't see any way you can.

Wine Mono isn't complete enough to run it.

Installing .Net 4.0 gets closer as it lets you start the program.

However it then doesn't work because the .Net function that FNIS calls to read the animation files uses some obscure Windows function that Wine does not provide.

Unfortunately, I don't believe Steam for OS X will let you even download a Windows app you buy through Steam. I suppose you could drag and drop the game files, and then restore the game from the copied files, but I'm not sure whether that works between platforms.

And because Steam usually tries to launch all Steam games itself (at least on Windows), I don't think it would be possible to force a game to run under Wine unless Steam itself consents. You may be able to run non-DRMed games directly by double-clicking the executable, but I am unsure about this.

Dont use wine. use PlayOnLinux

sudo apt-get install playonlinux

It's an easier way to install anything for linux that wasn't made for linux. It was recently updated to support Skyrim.
