In campaign every kill is rewarded with points. 100 – kill, +25 – headshot/knife, etc.
Is there way to disable display of this score?
I want to play the story, not an arcade with high scores.

As far as I understand it, your Field Upgrade score is measured by your squads effectiveness with working together - attacking an objective works towards this, as well as reviving team-mates, etc. If you die your score drops beneath the level needed for the current Field Upgrade you'll see that message. As for if you can see it, for your actual score, I don't know. For the progress to the next Field Upgrade, it's the bar highlighted below (sorry for small size):
You can get the binoculars by scrolling down or holding down Q. You should then be able to zoom using T.

I just tried all the options in the Options menu and it appears to be impossible. And I agree with you, when I first started playing the campaign it irked me a bit that the scores kept loitering on my screen. It is unfortunate, but what can you expect from EA :/
