The first time I walked around the Normandy I found a ship model, reading this question I learned that you can find several models on your ship if you bough them on ME2, I oly found a few of the ships mentioned in the top answer.
Which ships can I find if I don't import a Mass Effect 2 save? Can I find the rest of them by any other means?
I'm not sure if I had all of them in ME2, and thus I don't know if they are all there for me to find in ME3, but here are the collectibles I found on the Normandy:
- Alliance Shuttle - CIC: between War Room and Galaxy Map
- Destiny Ascension - Crew Deck: Life Support
- Turian Cruiser - Engineering: Subdeck Stairwell
- Space Hamster - Engineering: Subdeck Stairwell
- Shadowbroker - Engineering: Subdeck Stairwell
- Sovereign - Engineering: Subdeck Stairwell
- Freighter - Shuttle Bay
- Quarian - Shuttle Bay
- Alliance Cruiser - Shuttle Bay
- Geth Cruiser - Shuttle Bay
- Normandy - Shuttle Bay
That's the master list of what I've found so far, but I also broke it up down below with maps.
Also of note is that the model for the Alliance Kodiak was for sale in my game from Kassa Fabrication shop (accessible at 10% markup from the terminal in the Shuttle Bay). I am not sure if that's the only location for it, or if that's simply where you buy any models that you didn't have from your imported save.

The effect on ME2 was:
If the original Council died, the new Council will refuse to meet with Shepard. If Anderson is Councilor, the Commander can still be granted Spectre status, but this is played down as being a mostly symbolic gesture. If Udina is Councilor, then Shepard will not be granted Spectre status (this is the default condition for players who do not import a Mass Effect game file into Mass Effect 2).
But by the time ME3 rolls around:
By 2187 CE, the Council is forced to acknowledge the existence of the Reapers launch a full-scale assault against the galaxy. Though Shepard and Councilor Udina attempt to petition the Council for aid in retaking Earth, each individual species was more concerned with protecting their own borders. Thus, the Commander was forced to help the Council deal with their own problems to gain their support.
So it looks like the plot has been structured in such a way as to gain their support regardless of the past association.

You have the opportunity to collect all of them.
I have not found them in the same locations but I have found more in stores on the Citadel.
Look at your display case in your quarters and count off how many you have, you'll notice that several showed up without too much effort (if any)
I have not yet found the space hamster however.
