I know I can get them by toggling f3, but It would be much more efficient, in my opinion, to just display it without a toggle.

In Minecraft Pocket Edition (from 0.16.0) you can use the command
/tp ~ ~ ~
, which teleports the current player to the current location. This command has the side effect of displaying the coordinates it teleported to.This should work on the PC version as well, but I don't have access to that just now.
