Minecraft Java Edition – Fixing ‘Could Not Find or Load Main Class’ Error

My full error:

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.client.main.Main

I just installed Minecraft 1.8.9 on OSX El Capitan and tried to play offline since my wifi connection has some issues, and I ran into the error above.

After I was able to connect to Wifi again, the software updated and I was able to play online and offline with no problems.

Bug was trying to play Minecraft on Wifi in the Philippines.

It means Minecraft is using a feature that is planned to be removed from future versions of Java.

It's not a problem now, and when it becomes a problem it will be Mojang's problem or 3rd-party launcher programmers' problem, not yours.

Minecraft execute command gives error message “Could not execute ”detect“ as Creeel”

Try this if you are in 1.13:

/execute as @p if block -712 58 -1887 minecraft:air run setblock -729 56 -1884 minecraft:redstone_block replace

In 1.12.2 I tried:

execute @p ~ ~ ~ detect -712 58 -1887 air 0 setblock -729 56 -1884 minecraft:redstone_block

and it worked. It only returned that message if there was already a redstone block there. Did you check if there was one or just check the command block? BTW it worked when I used minecraft:air instead of air as well.
