Minecraft – How to create double doors that open in sync from a 2-wide power source

I've got a double door which I power from below, using a T-flip flop triggered by a pressure plate on the inside so that when I walk out, the doors open before me and when I walk in, the doors close behind me. It's a very good design for me, but, while powering the doors from below, I usually have to put one powered from off to the side instead of both from the inside. I found the design in my image, which is only 2 wide (I uncovered it, it would usually be covered), on this site, used for something else. However, the two doors are a half-step out of sync, i.e. with the repeaters in this position, one opens before the other, and if I delay the first one with one click on the repeater, the behavior is switched. In this configuration (the delays are equal), the left door always opens and closes a half-step earlier.

How can I get the doors perfectly in sync?

This is actually a very easy fix. Your design is something like this:

The extra delay comes from the raising of the signal on top of the block, which is actually unnecessary. Simply lower the signal, like so:

And there you have it. The doors will now be in sync.

Essentially, what you want to do is have a Redstone Torch under each of the wooden blocks, because powering that "block" also powers the trapdoor attached. However, wiring multiple blocks that are directly next to each other is generally a very difficult task, as Redstone needs to lead directly into a block to power a torch on top of it. Only one side is shown in the images; simply mirror what is shown for the other side.

Disclaimer: The way I have wired this is by no means the most efficient way, but it works.

Here is the way that you can wire it up. The unpowered wire at the top-right of the image is directly under the pressure plates. I have moved the pressure plates one block back, so that all the trapdoors will open at the same time, through the delays of the Redstone Repeaters. Every Repeater in the image is set to the lowest speed, except for the rightmost two, which are set to the third delay.

Since Redstone Torches are on by default, an inverter (the torch on the side of the block after the unpowered wire) is used to keep the torches off when there is nobody on the plates.

Edit: For some reason, I had initially wired this up extremely inefficiently (check the revision history if you want to). Now it is much more efficient.

An unintended side-effect of this design is that it takes a while for the power to reach all the trapdoors, and it opens just after you walk on them, giving you time to walk down the stairs without it closing on your head.

The most resource efficient way I can come up with to power a horizontal line of droppers is this

with the redstone line on the left being connected to a clock. This works because the repeaters strongly power the dropper they are pointing into causing the droppers to the left and right to be indirectly powered.

The vertical line of droppers is powered as described in this Youtube video, with a comparator being used to send a (inverted by a redstone torch) signal to a vertical stack of redstone torches powering repeaters pointing into every 2nd vertical dropper.

With regards to the specific situation you are in the most resource efficient way to get the mobs from the exit of the spawner to the 'home' area would be to bring them up high enough using a mob elevator (a 1x1 tube filled with alternating water blocks and signs will cause the mobs to swim themselves up to the top) to a point where they can be dropped down the required number of blocks.

The only pitfall with this type of system is ensuring that the mobs fall a consistent distance everytime. All that is required to do this is to ensure that the water stream at the top of the elevator is set up like this

(where ~ = water and S is a sign)

So that mobs get pushed into the drop shaft by other mobs pushing against them instead of directly by a water stream.
