Minecraft – Redstone torch not working in Minecraft beta 1.1_02

Torches seem to be stuck ON all the time. Given

SrrTrr (Switch, redstone, Torch)

the torch and all the redstone are lit regardless of the position of the switch. Removing the torch shows the switch and redstone connected to it function as expected. Is anyone else seeing this?

FWIW, this is running on a local server (same version) with default options and no plugins. I believe the server was running the first beta version when the world was created.

I've read/watched a number of tutorials and it doesn't appear I'm doing anything wrong. Can anyone running on bete 1.1_02 server/client combination confirm this?

A redstone torch on the ground will light things up. What you need is:

   T   
SrrBTr

Where the second torch is on the side of the block. This will make a not gate. The tiles next to the block are input, while the tiles next to the leaning torch are outputs.

On Service Pack 3, there seems to be a lot of problems you apparently can't get around.

Wiki kinda made a mistake: by the "C changes from 0 to 1 or 1 to 0" it means you can design it to be edge up trigger or edge down trigger not both. If you look at the design it self you will see that the first split from input C only send pulse transitions when you change it from 0 to 1 and when you change it from 1 to 0 it's doing nothing. So this work's alright just a little miss understanding, if you need so here the edge down design I built(just added not before the C):

I fixed this in wiki so this should be fine now.

Btw you can design both edge up and down trigger, you need to send pulse(circled in black) each time the clock is changing. Do it your self as a challenge ☺
