I have just recently purchased minecraft, I downloaded the launcher for windows, and it isnt asking for a password, just the account. Please Help 🙁

Enter your email/username and password into the bottom fields and then click login. Next time you login your information will be saved and you should be able to click Play instantly.
The same thing happened to me, but I just left it for a few days and then it worked.
My advice would be to just let the password change go through.
