In playing the mystery quest game in Candy Crush Saga to unlock level 36, I understand it as I have to play and win 3 games, one game a day. If I don't win, say the first mystery quest game the first time I try, can I keep trying until I win that day or do I have to wait 24 hours before I can play that game again? In other words do I get one shot at it each day?

These are referred to as "Mystery Quests" by the game. When you tap on the icon for the plane (or train, boat, etc) that is just past the last level you've cleared, you should see a menu pop up.
On this menu you should have at least two options. One will be to pay to unlock the next episode, and the other will be to connect to Facebook and ask your friends for help.
The third option only appears if you are playing on a mobile device (iPhone, iPad, Android, etc) and not logged into Facebook inside Candy Crush Saga. This is the option to play a Mystery Quest.
If you don't see this third option, log out of Facebook by:
- From the "Map" screen, tap the arrow icon in the lower left. This brings up a small menu.
- Tap the red "Door" icon, which will take you back to the main menu.
- Tap the arrow icon in the lower left again to bring up the small menu.
- Tap the green "Gear" icon to bring up another menu.
- Scroll this menu down to the bottom and tap the Facebook icon which should say "Log out"
Then you should be able to go back into the game, and tap the plane/train/boat/etc icon and see the Mystery Quest option.

When this happens, do the following:
On Android
- Go to
Settings > System > Date and time:
- Change the time to 3 hours later:
On IPhone:
- Go to

Next go back into Candy Crush Saga and confirm that the lives have reset:
Finally, go back into to your Date & Time settings and change the time back to normal.

You can try as many times as you like, but once you complete the level, you need to wait.
I literally just posted an answer on how to get full lives instantly. The same concept would apply here...If you wanted to play multiple quests per day, you can change the date to tomorrow in your
Date & Timesettings and you will be able to do multiple mystery quests. Just make sure to change the date back. Hope this helps!
