I upgraded my PS4 to a 2 TB HDD, can I just install it into a new PS4 Pro? Im asking because Im worried there might be problems with the software and/or firmware differences between the playstations. Or with the games and what not already on the HDD.

You won't be able to move the hard drive to the new console without formatting it. When the new PS4 Pro detects the hard drive, you'll be asked to format it, which means all your data will be deleted.
You will need to transfer the data from the PS4 to the PS4 Pro using the PS4's Data Transfer functionality, but that means you won't be able to move the 2 TB drive to the PS4 Pro.
