Reachwater rock first door won’t open although combination is right

I know the solution is bear, whale, snake – but the door still will not open. I have all 3 pieces of the necklace or whatever but it still won't open. I have reset my Xbox 360 many times to solve this but nothing works.

This has not happened to me before, however looking around I found this on the UESP Wiki:

A common bug is that the rings on the dragon claw doors may not rotate, or the door may not open after the correct combination is set. Possible fixes are;

  • Save and then immediately load that save.
  • Load either the auto-save from the entrance, or a save from before you entered.
  • Select the right combination and try the claw, then turn each ring once and try the claw again, do this until the correct combination re-appears and try again.
