When I am doing the swap-around, how can I be sure to land the building at the precise location to connect to the reactor or the tech-lab?
I see pros do it seamlessly, but when I do it, I have to lift-off and re-land multiple times till I make it connect successfully, and that by luck.
Is there an indicator that shows me the spot to land to connect to a building extension before I land?
I switched to the Grid keyboard layout (through the game settings) and now simply use positioning instead of memorising letters. Since that's what I used to use for my WoW UI (back in the day :D), it came more naturally to me than predefined key-letters, even though I've played my fair share of StarCraft 1.

"MOAR HYDRAS NAO OMG" is 1 Q S S S S S S S S S S S S (hatchery on control group 1)
and so on..
If you log onto battle.net, go to your "Home" page by clicking the little house button.
As you can see there, is a button which says "Import Friends" next to the Facebook icon. Select this, and enter in your Facebook credentials.
If the broadcast has expired, select your friends:
Click "add friends":
Select "add Facebook Friends."

The UI of Starcraft 2 should show you an outline of the building after you have hit the land command. This outline will allow you to place the building correctly.
When you invoke the land option, you will see two outlines: one where your mouse is and one beside the tech tab/reactor:
Simply move your mouse so that the outlines overlap:
Then, click the left mouse button. Your building will start flying toward the target location:
If you lined everything up correctly, it will land right beside the add-on:
