For the first time I bought a game from steam Age of Empires Online : All in wonder. The transaction was successful and I got the game listed under my account in the steam website but when I download the latest steam client and install it, there are 0 games listed under the library tab. I also raised a steam support ticket three days ago, but no response from them till now. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I found that the "servers are too busy" message was thrown basically any time an error prevented the game (Borderlands 2 in my case) from launching. It was certainly not in any way related to the Steam servers, and pretty unfortunate that it so misleadingly masks some specific problem with the system.
After much trial and error, based on clues on the Wine AppDB reports and such, I was able to get it running by installing various dependencies and stuff. Unfortunately, I failed to properly document my adventure, but here are a few things I did that you might want to try:
- With winetricks or directly with wine, install: vcredist vcrun2008 vcrun2010 msxml3 winhttp physx
- With your native package manager, install: lib32-mpg123 gpgme libassuan
- Make sure DirectX is installed in the wine environment
- Launch the game by running
wine Borderlands2.exefrom command line (no symlinks!)
For better performance, I also ended up creating a swapfile, and tweaking the wine registry to recognize all 2GB of my video card's RAM -- it defaulted to only addressing up to 128MB or something crazy like that.

This happens to me every time I restart because (due to my SSD) Steam starts up faster than my computer can connect to my wireless network.
You can tell you're in offline mode because the steam-icon in the tray will be red.
To get back to online mode, you open Steam --> click the "Steam" menu in the upper-left --> "Go Online..."
Of course, the real solution to my problem would be to make the wireless connect faster. I've heard success stories from people doing this by updating their wireless-NIC drivers; unfortunately, that did not work for me.

Age of Empires Online is a free-to-play game with optional pay-to-play DLC. The All in Wonder bundle is a bundle of this DLC for the base game. This might seem like a minor distinction, but it's an important to understand what's happening here.
As with other free-to-play games in Steam, the base Age of Empires Online game will not appear in the "All games" list like a normal purchased game would, even if have purchased DLC for it. However, if you go to the steam store and search for the game there, you will be able to install the game client through Steam as normal.
As your paid-for DLC is associated with your Steam account it should still be available when you log into AoE Online through Steam.
