I want to know how much a stack in Terraria is. I am able to get over at least 200 blocks, but I don't know how much more. I want to know because I am going around trying to get a ton of stone blocks for a big building. I want to know that if a stacks real high, I won't need that many.

Unfortunately, there is not yet a Housing Menu on the iOS version of Terraria. That would make it much easier to relocate NPCs. However, the classic way to do this from the earlier (pre 1.1) days of Terraria still works!
Assume Merchant lives in house A and you want him to be in house B
- Make all other housing not currently occupied unsuitable (such as removing the table)
- Make house A unsuitable.
- Wait for the Merchant to move to house B.
- Put back all the tables
There is also a less reliable and more evil method: keep killing the Merchant until he moves into the right house.
The movement keys are well described by Cyan. Should you have the mobile version: there are a couple of circles in the bottom left corner. Moving the blue cursor in any direction beyong the most inner circle will cause your character to move in that direction; the speed is depending on how far out you move your cursor. Jumping is the same thing.
It is definitely advisable to stick to PC with this game; touchscreen controls can be quite frustrating if you need to be precise, like in this game.

Each item type has a different stack size, with consumable items usually between 30 and 999.
Stone has a stack size of 999, as do many of the similar basic resources such as dirt and sand.
