Terraria – What does the tree mean when generating a world
terraria
When you generate a new world in Terraria (in game not through the console) an icon of a tree is shown. The same icon will be shown when selecting the world from the list:
What are all the different possibilities and what do they mean?

The tree indicates what is on the world.
You can have either Purple/Green leaves which means that the world will have Corruption, or you can have Red/Green leaves which means that the world will have Crimson.
Also after defeating the Wall of Flesh (and entering hard mode) a yellow streak will appear on the tree indicating that the world has hallow in it.
In the following image, the first world has corruption and hallow, the second is a corruption world pre-hardmode, and the third image is a crimson world pre hardmode.
This can be done with Dropbox and a line in Command Prompt.
Quit Terraria to make sure none of the files are in use.
Look for the folder C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Terraria (this is the Windows Vista/7 location).
Move this folder into your Dropbox folder.
Open Command Prompt with administrative privileges by right-clicking on it in the Start menu and choosing "Run as administrator".
Run this command: mklink /d "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Terraria" "C:\Users\<username>\Dropbox\Terraria"
Launch Terraria and verify your characters and worlds are available.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 on each additional computer that you want your characters and worlds to be available on.
Another option, perhaps even simpler, is to use BitTorrent Sync to synchronize the Terraria folders on two computers. If you use BitTorrent Sync you do not have to move the folders and make links. You can sync them in-place.
