Neko Atsume Apple Watch – How to Use the App and Its Features

Neko Atsume recently added Apple Watch support with version 1.9.5.
Opening the app on my watch shows me a live feed of my yard. Is this all the Apple Watch app does, or is there some way to interact with my yard?

The Apple Watch app only allows you to view what cats are currently in your yard.
There is no way to interact with your cats while using the Neko Atsume Apple Watch app. You cannot change items, shop, refill food, photograph cats, or receive gifts.
The only things you can do are move the camera around with the touchscreen, and zoom in or out with the digital crown.
This is based on both online forum posts and my own personal experience using the app over the last 9 months.
Offering more expensive cat foods, along with specific toys, will attract rare cats to pay a visit. More expensive cat food will also simply attract more cats in general.
The most obvious example of cats who are after food that costs money is Tubbs, who is only interested in food, and will only show up to eat (an entire bowl) of any food that costs money (fish).
Other rare cats are interested in playing with specific toys, and having expensive food around will increase your chances of coaxing them out to play with those toys.
I found information here and here in regards to this topic, and this also seems to be the consensus on Reddit.
Power level is used to determine if a cat can use a toy or occupy a space while another cat is currently there. For example, if a cat with a power level of 50 is using a ball of yarn, and another cat with a power level of 75 decided to use the same item, the second cat can push the first out because of the higher power level.
The personalities may hint at what types of items a cat will interact with.
