Emblems are special items given by gods when your favor with one of them reaches 1000. You can garner favor with gods by doing quests (which often assign a number of favor points to a particular god associated with the task you completed) or by donating to the shrine of a specific god. Donations award xp (up to a daily cap) and favor, the amount of which is proportional to the value of the item donated.
This particular emblem is gained by donating to the god Pot and enables you to learn Master Chef II. All emblems are tied to a specific high-level skill which you unlock when you earn the emblem.
Since favor gained is related to the value of the item donated, you'll want to find high value items that are relatively easy to get. What items you use depends on your current skill set.
Many people swear by sparkly rock, which you can mine efficiently with Mining level 3 or 4. You also gain gems this way, which can be extraordinarily valuable.
If you have high Animal Kinship, it is extremely profitable to gather meat and donate that directly. Finding streets or zones with many pigs at the highest AK level can easily fill your bags with delicious and profitable meat.
Most recipes for items can't beat the cost/benefit ratio of those raw materials. If you want to craft things for donation, I think the best method is to sell your items in auctions and then use the currants to fund acquisition of items (ie, shrine powder, plus other auction house items that generally sell for less than they're worth).
If you're interested in maximizing your shrine donations, check out Zu's thread:

No, donations to giants are rated by how much the donation is worth, not any particular preference of any given giant. The same donation will give you the same credit, regardless of where you donate it to.
I put together a system for determining how much a donation is worth, which can help you avoid going over the donation limits, called the FavorSaver. I haven't played the game since they un-launched it, but the tool is based on their API calls, so it should still be current (assuming they haven't changed any of the formulas).
There's some help text in the tool itself that goes into some amount of detail about how the system works. There's also this thread on the forums which may be of use.
