My party encountered some Drows in the Underdark (X: 130 Y: -238). We then fought a Spectator who revived a few of the Drows during combat. We talked to the leader of the Drows who made all the revived Drows attack us.
After the fight, we noticed two Drows were still petrified. We un-petrified one, only for it to immediately attack us. After killing it and getting XP, only one petrified Drow remains.
If we kill the petrified Drow without un-petrifying it, will we get XP?
Nope.
Your inventory is safe from the environment, and vice versa.
That said, a lit grenade is probably not the best thing to store in your pack, even if you're the only one who's going to suffer for it. But even in such a case, the rest of your items (smokepowder satchels included) are fine.
Zevlor will give you the Patched-Together Sack, a container which is also useful for sorting items in your inventory.
This sack contains 63 gold, a gemstone, a Potion of Healing, and a weapon:
I take it these items are all somewhat randomized every time the container is opened.
What's much more interesting, however, is that it contains Wapira's Crown, an organic looking uncommon helmet decorated with antlers, which will heal the wielder for 1d6 whenever they heal someone else. It also can't be obtained in any other way (apart from mods, I presume):
On my current playthrough it was a welcome (and quite pretty) addition to Shadowheart's gear.
