I have a D&D 3.5e cleric who is lawful good and has no patron deity, but still meets all of the prerequisites for the Contemplative prestige class (Complete Divine) by grace of having:
had direct contact with .. an enlightened being embodying the highest principles of an alignment (a solar, for example).
First level Contemplatives gain a bonus domain, according to the rules:
Upon adopting the contemplative class .. a character gains access to a bonus domain of her choice. The character can choose any domain made available by her deity or alignment.
But my character has no patron deity, so.. now what? Can I select only the Lawful domain now? What if I already had that domain? (PS: this repeats because a level 6 Contemplative again gains a bonus domain this way). Is there any ruling on this? I can't seem to find any.
