[SalesForce] How to see API requests details

Is it possible to see which classes(or anything else) used API requests?

Out org allows only 15k API requests per 24 hours, but somehow we managed to go over the limit. After googling I only found that the only "workaround" is to contact salesforce and ask for temporary increase of this limitation.

Is there a way to get details of those 15k calls to see where were they made?

Have a look at Event Log Files, which is part of the Winter '15 release: http://releasenotes.docs.salesforce.com/en-us/winter15/release-notes/rn_forcecom_security_elf.htm#topic-title

As far as I know there's no solution other than this, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Replacing Ruby stdlib net/http to curb solved this problem for me.

Quick googling didn't yield any results if this is a known issue. Probably, it is a combination of the way Salesforce SOAP API endpoint responds and some bug in Ruby stdlib (or misconfiguration on my side).

Every time you call a web method in the Partner API the response includes the Limit Info Header in the response.

The header is also available in the REST API - Limit Info Header

Sforce-Limit-Info: api-usage=25/5000;

With this you can monitor your API usage.

This header is the global account across all applications. The documentation does mention a API REQUESTS PER APP pilot that will provide limit quota information for a connected app. You could try and get on this pilot. Otherwise it is usually best if the application tracks its own usage.
