[SalesForce] ‘No data to import’ when importing .stf with Translation Workbench

I'm having some trouble with importing .stf files in Translation Workbench: sometimes I get the following error in log file:

There were issues with import of file: t.stf
[No data to import.]

But the file clearly contains data. Furthermore, I can swear that it successfully imported the exact file in the past, but now it doesn't want to no matter how many times I try. I tried changing line endings but to no avail.
I found some solution in a Knowledge Article:

If you receive a "No Data to import" error and there is clearly data lines in your file, save the file with a new name and re-import the file.

But it doesn't work.

OK, I think I've got it. From the help page explaining what 'No data to import' message means:

The file you’re trying to import is empty or does not contain any translation changes.

It turned out that the file was actually imported earlier, so there were no changes detected in this import and it displayed this message.

Double check you're using tabs and not spaces and that the file is really saved as UTF-8 (you can use Notepad++ for example to check & force it).

Not sure if you see it, I've "translated" one of last labels to "Printable view!" and imported whole file back to SF (I didn't zip anything, uploaded this one language directly):

So it ignores lines where the translation is blank or identical to your master language.

[SalesForce] Custom Object missing from English translation in Translation Workbench but not other languages

For custom objects that are part of a Managed Package this is done slightly different, because you have to override the values provided in the package:

Click Setup->Translation Workbench->Override
In the override screen, select the Managed Package that contains the field you want to relabel
Pick the Component that you want to relabel (in this case, Custom Field)
Pick the object that contains the field
Pick "Field Label" (or whichever aspect you want to override)
The rest is same as 'normal' fields

The reason that you only have to do this for 'English' is that the Managed Package's language is probably English and thus they have provided only the labels for that 1 language. So only 1 set of labels to override.
