I just bought a TP-Link Kasa light switch (the HS200 single pole to be exact). It has two black wires, a white, and a green. The switch I want to replace has only black and red. Inside the box, I see there are white and green available. Can I do this? If so, please tell me how, or guide me towards where I can find the information. Really appreciate the help.
First off, if there's not a grounded (neutral) conductor in the box, you cannot connect this device.
Based on your description of the wiring, it's difficult to tell exactly how your current switch is wired. If you're not sure yourself how the current switch is wired, it might be best for you to contact a local licensed Electrician to install the switch for you. If you have a basic understanding of your wiring; and/or electrical wiring in general, the following information (which can be found in the instruction sheet that came with the device) should be helpful.
If this is a single pole installation (only one switch controls the lights), then you'll only need to connect 4 of the 5 wires.
This device is not compatible with standard 3- or 4-way switches. If you're going to use it in a 3- or 4-way setup, you'll have to purchase compatible vizia +™ on/off remotes.
If you're pairing the timer with a coordinating remote switch, you'll wire it as follows.
If you're pairing the timer with a matching remote switch, you'll wire it as follows.
If the switch box ONLY has the two black wires in it, then its just a switch leg, with the main wiring run in the ceiling above the light fixture. Without additional wiring installing this device in this location may not be possible.

Did you read the instructions that came with it. Here is my best guess on how to wire it, I do not have one so I can only look at sketches. A. Turn off the breaker B. Take pictures in case you have to put it back. C. Remove the plate and switch. D. Connect each of the two black wires from the switch to the live wires probably black E. Connect the Green wire to the ground line (bare or green wire) F. Connect the White wire to the neutral (white wire) G. Mount the new switch in the box H. Put the Wall plate on I. Turn the breaker on. J. You should be ready to go
