numerify doesn't seem like a "real" word to me (sorry!)

quantify may do the trick:

1. to determine or express the quantity of; indicate the extent of; measure

2. to express in quantitative terms, or as a numerical equivalent

I'd suggest you reconsider stranglehold, which actually is nowhere near as mild as you think.

If you're still not happy with it, consider:

chokehold

1: a hold that involves strong choking pressure applied to the neck of another
