I'm not sure whether this sentence is right.
" Which country are you guys at?" I said this without any hesitation but … I don't think it's right. I'm not 100% sure.
So my own corrections are:
I'd like to know how I can put this more naturally.
What else can I say that would be correct?
Normally the term comparable to guys is gals.
And I think this is one case where Google NGrams can actually be useful. Here we see that guys and gals and gals and guys clearly outnumber girls and guys and guys and girls.
Note that girls by itself crushes gals in usage, but that only supports the contention, because girls is mainly used to describe female children.
In fact, if we NGram girls with boys (i.e., male children) we see that the usage is roughly comparable.
Using the preposition in vis-à-vis " the road" normally describes an action that takes place in such a way that the normal progress of the thoroughfare might be blocked, or which calls attention to the act in progress.
Take, for example, the Beatles song "Why don't we do it in the road?" Here it means doing something (i.e., fornicating) right out there in front of everybody in such a way that people will stop and take notice. The Beatles were a British band, so that should put paid to any notion that in means something different in BrE.
To simply walk in the road means to put oneself in some danger from traffic.
He was walking in the road, officer. I didn't see him until it was too late.
Normally, to describe the simple act of using the road for pedestrian traffic alongside vehicular traffic, the prepositions up, down, or along are commonly used. They don't carry the connotation of mortal danger, though that may exist as well.
To walk on the road describes the relationship of one's feet to the road surface.

"At" is bad, because a country is a large thing. "At" is best with points (no area or volume). However, there are special contexts that would make sense of "Which country are you at?". If you were going through a file of visa applications in a file that was organized by country, for instance, you might be at Germany in the file but not yet come to Honduras.
"In" is best with things that have volume, or at least can contain things -- rooms, swimming pools, cars.
However, there many idiomatic uses of "in/on/at" that don't seem to obey any overall logic.
